A card set with Inkido

Slightly delayed, I'm showing today a card set (card with the box) which is my DT project for Inkido this week and I shared it yesterday on Inkido's blog here.
There you can also see some of the Inkido supplies I used.
Next time I will be sharing the project using the stunning new collection, Beautiful Memories 2 which is reaching the stores now. Those of you who love romantic style- beware, for this collection is irresistible!  :D

A tutaj jeszcze moja inspiracja kolorystyczna czyli case file #70 CSI:

Today I'm sharing quickly a mixed media canvas, titled simply " Mothers" .
I'm playing in the challenge # 23 at Craft4you ' A Flower for the Mother' and this week's CSI case as my colour inspiration.
The photo is a snapshot of my mom sharing some joyful moment with her mom, my late grandma. This is the spring right after my birth, so my mom who is the youngest of 3 daughters, has just become a young mother herself :) That is the moment when the bond between a mother and a daughter becomes even more tight I think.
I adore this photo, I would love to know what they laughed about:)
This is in short the content of my journaling which is tucked under the layers to the left.

Temat wyzwania - Numbers!
Ten layout postanowilam poswiecic osobie, ktora do tej rzadko pojawiala sie w moich pracach - mojemu kochanemu Tacie. Wykorzystalam tu jedyne nasze wspolne zdjecia z mojego dziecinstwa jakie posiadam - sa dla mnie bardzo cenne, stad tytul tej pracy.
Mam najlepszego tate na swiecie, nieprzerwanie, od momentu uchwyconego na tych fotografiach...

Tak sie chwalilam, ze jestem w peletonie Lift Project 2013, ale zaraz po tym zostalam daleko w tyle...
Staram sie nadrobic zaleglosci wiec zrobilam za jednym zamachem 2 kartki, zarowno obecna nr 12 inspirowana praca Arte Banale, jak i nr 11 z poprzedniego tygodnia, gdzie liftowalysmy cudna kartke Kobens.

Mood board jest zrodlem inspiracji: mozecie zainspirowac sie jednym zdjeciem, lub wieloma, lub tylko elementami. Mozecie inspirowac sie kolorami ale nie jest to konieczne- to nie jest wyzwanie kolorystyczne.

Let me share with you my page inspired by our May mood board:

I was inspired by the rich textures of the mood board & wanted to create a rugged, worn look.  I loved the filigree windows so added various rectangular frames to mimic them, as well as the design of the sketch.  I chose a monochromatic colour scheme accented with the gorgeous turquoise & browns of the mood board.

Oto moja praca zainspirowana mood boardem: zachwycily mnie bogate chropowate powierzchnie i to wlasnie chcialam odtworzyc w mojej pracy poprzez dobor materialow.  Moje oko przyciagnely tez powtarzajace sie filigranowe okienka w drzwiach wiec wykorzystalam prostokatne ramki jako element kompozycji. Oczywiscie nie moglam oprzec sie kolorom ale zastosowalam je tylko jako akcent.

WIEM, ze zdjecia zimowe sa w tym momencie niemalze zakazane, ale mam jeszcze kilka wczesniej wydrukowanych i moze bede je tak przemycac od czasu do czasu:)  Wiosny u nas na razie jak na lekarstwo ...

Ponizsza prace wykonalam na wyzwanie How U use gesso - Mixed Media Place.
Gesso jest moim ulubionym medium, wiec nie moglam po prostu ominac okazji do takiej zabawy.

I KNOW that winter photos are kind of banned right now, but I'm still missing some good sprintime shots.Spring is slow to arrive here... On the other hand I still have a stash of winter photos already printed out, so I'm going to sneak them in every now and then;)
This project is my take on the current challenge running at Mixed Media Place - How U use gesso.

Gesso wykorzystalam tu na kilka sposobow:
- zagruntowalam tlo (karton kraft), przeciagajac cienka warstwe gesso plastikowa karta. Na tak przygotowane tlo nalozylam kolor, czyli 2 kolory pigmentow Primary Elements, zmieszane z woda.
- zastosowalam technike gesso stencil, uzywajac maski Prima
- doodling - odcisnelam kilka kolek zakretka
- stemplowanie - stempel z tekstem widoczny na brzegu
- na koniec wykorzystalam gesso do usztywnienia gazy:)

I played here with a few gesso techniques :
- thin layer on the craft cardstock, as a primer. It was necessary to be able to apply colour, which is 2 pigments Primary Elements, blended with water
- gesso stencil with Prima mask
- doodling
- stamping with gesso (text on the edges)
- I also used it to stiffen the mesh which is under the photo

Few words about supplies:

 

Ta karteczke wykonalam z jednego arkusza papieru (piekna kolekcja One Moment in Time by The Scrap Cake)

Wykorzystalam obydwie strony papieru, zarowno wyciete wykrojnikami i puncherami ksztalty, jak i resztki papieru po nich:)

A dyskretna kraftowa baza z Papierowej Galanterii przepieknie dopasowala sie wlasnie do klimatu i kolorow tej kartki.

 

This simple card is made of one paper (One Moment in Time by The Scrap Cake) , I used both sides of this beautiful design. I punched and diecut some shapes, but I also used the remaining paper. No piece was wasted:)

I used a craft card base from Papierowa Galanteria, a perfect match to this card, both considering the style and colours.
